A thorough, gentle cleaning removes the plaque and tartar brushing can’t reach — and gives us the chance to catch small issues before they become big ones.

Teeth Cleaning
Even with great home care, plaque hardens into tartar in places a toothbrush and floss can’t fully reach. Left alone, it irritates the gums and leads to decay and gum disease.
At each cleaning our hygienists carefully remove buildup above and below the gumline, polish away surface stains, and check your gums. Your doctor then completes an exam so your care plan stays current.

Questions
Most patients do best with a cleaning every six months. If you have a history of gum disease, we may recommend more frequent visits.
Most people find cleanings comfortable. If your teeth or gums are sensitive, let your hygienist know — we can go slower and use numbing gel.
Most dental plans cover preventive cleanings and exams, often twice a year. Our team is happy to check your benefits.
